We are eating green with Miracle-Gro Organic Choice ! These beautiful and yummy greens were grown in containers on my back porch using Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Potting Soil and Plant Food which is the ideal product for edible gardening. We are going to snip this fresh lettuce and show you how to grow your own and make this amazing delicious and healthy salad.
I did not add the Miracle-Gro Organic Plant Food at the time of planting the seeds. I waited until the lettuce sprouted and was up a little as pictured above. After adding this product I was astounded at how quickly the lettuce grew! It was like two days later and it was up 3 inches! I am currently using this product to fertilize all my flowers and vegetables I am planting in my home garden. I am super impressed and wholeheartedly recommend this product!
Here is our cut lettuce that has been washed and draining on a paper towel with a delicious Granny Smith Apple waiting to be sliced. Cut the lettuce with a pair of kitchen scissors. The first time I grew lettuce, I pulled it up by the roots and had a terrible time getting the dirt out of it! I’ll never forget eating that lettuce dirt and all. The really neat thing about cutting the lettuce is that it will grow back! Yeah!
I picked up this lovely piece of steak for London Broil on sale today! The cut is usually top round or flank. Thankfully it is labeled London Broil. If you have a craving for steak, this is so easy to make at home and is absolutely delicious on a salad.
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Salt and pepper the top and brown. The preferred method of browning would be to use a grill. Here I am using a griddle. I have heated it as hot as possible. When you place a piece of cold meat on a hot cooking surface it immediately starts to cool, so I brown one side of the meat on one part of the griddle and allow a space on the other side to continue to heat up.
Once it is browned on both sides, place in a baking dish and put into your oven for 10 minutes or less if you want it rare. Once it is out of the oven, allow it to “rest” for another 10 to 15 minutes. It is also very good served cold, so you can put it directly into the refrigerator and serve later. Slice thin and serve atop fresh spring lettuce with sliced apple and your favorite salad dressing. You can also top with pecans! We are ready to eat green with Miracle-Gro Organic Choice
