We have a room for rent now. Jude our 5 year old has up and moved out of his room. Pretty much since the night he had his exorcist moment he hasn’t wanted to sleep in his room.
Oh don’t worry there were no demons here. We had a battle with the stomach flu and virtually every square inch of his bed and floor were covered in puke.
So that night I had to move him downstairs to the guest bedroom in order to clean up the explosion that occurred. This has been at few moths now and he has no urge to move back upstairs. In fact he has decided that he wants his “new” room decorated.
Seriously, kid? I just finished adding these final touches to your room. Like this super cool accent rug. And on top of that it only took me 3 months to hand paint that stencil. Not to mention I hand made the light fixture and turned his crib in to an upholstered headboard.
Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane. See the picture above? I mean we came a long way sweetheart. I’m not quite ready to up and have you move out on me much less redecorate a second room.
But sure let me get right on that.
Oh and did I forget to mention his choice in room decor for his “new” room…..
DRUM ROLL PLEASE>>>
Um Like I said… let me get right on it.

Isn’t it funny how our kids are much more apt to want to move on then we are. You want them to stay little for just a little while. I love the accent rug. It adds so much to the room.

Kids are so funny. They always want the junky cartoon type decor. Dont they know we are designers? Lol hang in there. It is a never ending battle.

I know and I am sooo anti cartoon everything. I am better with this one but with my older son I wouldn’t let him wear anything commercially. With Jude I let him but it stops at the shoes .. no character shoes.
