Yep, this is my first chalkboard decoration for the house, actually the porch.
Lesley has an entire Organization Station painted in chalkboard paint and a super-sized notebook painted on the wall.
But me, nada, zippo, no chalkboard or chalk walls for me.
I bought this old picture at a thrift store for just a few dollars and with a little paint and just a few minutes, I had me a chalkboard!
I mean, how can you be a DIY blogger without a chalkboard ?
Isn’t that breaking some kind of unwritten law or rule that includes Mason Jars, Pallets and Burlap?
Okay, so I don’t have a Mason jar craft or something built from a pallet, but I do by golly have burlap and now a chalkboard!
And a little secret….
ssshhh…
I didn’t even use Chalk Board Paint.
Now that really has to be breaking some rules!
I used plain ole black craft paint and it works great!
At least on this it did…
After all, everyone needs a chalkboard!
