Hey guys! Welcome back to my home. I’ve shown you around my front porch and gave you some tips on how to update those planters for fall.
And I took you on a my journey of how letting go of perfection actually led to the perfect fall tablescape.
Now it’s time to show you what’s hanging on the flip side of this very door.
Are you curious?
This is one of those projects that literally takes a few minutes to make. I snatched up these little burlap canvases but I didn’t want to do anything permanent to them because I want to use them seasonally.
I came up with the idea of using fun patterned tape on them and it worked awesomely!
I don’t even know if you guys need instructions, it’s just that easy. You could also do this on white canvases!
After you get your letters made, you can finish the edges with a border! That’s it. Oh wait, no that’s not it….
Okay the one trick part was getting these suckers to stay on the door.
I tried everything.
This is what worked.
Get a drill and in the upper piece of wood on the canvases flip side… drill a hole smack in the middle.
Then using command hooks you can hang the canvases easily. And the hooks slip right in to that hole ! They have not fallen once now.
I think fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for because we use so many natural elements. These pumpkins aren’t natural but aren’t they just adorable. I got those and the wheat from our trip to Homegoods… you know the one where I didn’t see Nicole Kidman or any other celebrity for that matter.
Now I didn’t DIY this pumpkin but I am sure you could easily. I did however make these 10 DIY Pumpkins…. well Mom and I both did!
So that’s it… Don’t you just love an easy DIY?
Oh and we’re you wondering about the bow? It’s all made out of tape! Easy as pumpkin pie!
