Spring Tablescape and a Giveaway

I can’t tell you how happy we are that SPRING is finally here. This was a rough winter. We had a crazy ICE STORM…. which kept the kids out of school for a week. I had given my two weeks notice at work but was unable to go because I got the WORST FLU EVER! Oh and let’s not forget that we had a pipe burst … TWICE!

Needless to say this winter was a little bit rough. I couldn’t wait to start decorating for spring! And I really wanted to use bright colors like the hot pink shade of an Azalea !

Decorating my table is one of the first things I do each season.

I love using all types of decor from bright colors to subtle pastels. All the colors you see in nature during spring. I felt like a little girl again setting up for a tea party… except things got a little weird and I started to get a little anxious…

You see, as I was setting up a tablescape full of spring decor and champagne with strawberries all for the sake of sharing it with you…

and as I’m getting in to full decorating mode… I realize at any moment there was going to be a knock at my door…

and real people were going to arrive… not for my tea party… not to admire my table setting… not to get ideas for a spring tablescape.. and no not even to enter a really awesome giveaway!….

but to fix my air conditioner…

and they are going to wonder… who all this is for… ?????

and they’re going to think is this lady an absolute crazy person having a party…. for one..

or would they think …. “all this for us!” ??? Oh boy.. would that be awkward… I can see it now… thanks for fixing the AC now let’s celebrate with Champagne..

(actually now that I think about it AC is totally worth celebrating for!)

But instead… like all good stories do… it all ended happily ever after..

my imaginary friends were a no show…

the AC guys had to reschedule…

And MY Real friends (that’s you) Showed up today! To see all the ideas I had to share with you and drink a glass of virtual Champagne!
