We scored an awesome ugly 1970’s owl lamp and made it spectacular!
Today we are sharing the other Thrift Store Finds that we scored last month.
We would LOVE to hear what you would do to up-cycle these treasures!
Love the design and shape of this $5.00 round mirror, don’t you? I am always on the look out for mirrors. They are just so expensive when you buy them new aren’t they. I also pick up this vintage piece of polyester fabric. I just love the honeycomb design.
The little Samsonite Train Bag is in near perfect condition. What a SCORE at $3.99!
I believe this vintage tray by Nashco New York might just be my fave. I love the shabbiness of it and the botanical type print.
I can think of soooo many things to do with this $5.99 full of charm beauty. Must look for more!
Check out this Aladdin Stanley vintage thermos. The color and distressed finished caught my eye. I am thinking flower vase.
What would you do with it?
Couldn’t pass these up for a buck fifty! The back says Made it Italy. Have you seen them before?
Who doesn’t need a piece of distressed metal scroll work? LOVE LOVE!
These little ladies were $1.50 a piece and I thought they were adorbs! I spied one and made an effort to look for the mate. Usually this type of decor comes in multiples and sure enough, I found the other under a pile of picture frames! Love the colors and the “beat” of them.
These little 99 cent plagues are going add some architectural interest somewhere! Again, sooo many possibilities.
Ignore the pictures and tell me what you would do with these!
Can’t wait to read your comments!

I love the mirror and I would like to tone down the gold with Annie Sloan paint. I saw the idea on one of the blogs and it turned out fantastic.

That sounds pretty! What color would you do?

I would paint and distress with my American Paint Company paints then add some sort of vinyl quote.

The mirror looks lovely. I can see it in a pearly light pink or peach with soft golden highlights. On the little ladies I would redo the color on the frames to further accentuate the prints. And that metal scroll I would cut out the half piece thats incomplete. Then I might reuse it in either of two ways: on one hand I would use it to enhance a headboard; but, on the other hand I would add little cups to put tea lights and use it as a wall accent for some romantic lighting. You don’t need to use a welding machine to do this. There are strong metal epoxy’s like jbweld that would secure the cups to the scroll like welding.
Great finds!

Awww such great ideas! Thanks so much Adela! Be sure and check back with us to see what we do! These pieces are sure to show up somewhere!

Guess I’m kind of a metal maniac, as I love the thermos and scroll work piece. But have to say, that little luggage case would be fun to work with too. Think I’d leave the outside as is (maybe add some cute travel stickers) and then have fun with a bright patterned material lining the inside! Fun Finds are always double the fun. You get to hunt for them and then dream up another project 🙂

Yes Cheryl, I love vintage luggage. I had quite a collection and had to scale down, but this one is in perfect condition on the inside which is rare. Thanks so much for your input!
