It’ s February and do you know what that means? Yep, it’s Children’s Dental Health Month!
What? Did you not know that? In Pre-school programs across America we talk all about teeth! In fact we even have special visitors come in to teach the kids all about Children’s Dental Health. Today we had a super special visitor… THE TOOTH FAIRY! 
Isn’t this just precious? These kids will never forget the day the Tooth Fairy came to their class. Thank You Wild About Smiles Pediatric Dentistry! They are awesome for coming to the classroom and they are my boys’ dentists as well.
Jude won’t forget the day the Tooth Fairy came! However, I have to say he does forget the tooth-brushing routine. Tooth-brushing also became a fight every night. I needed some help… but what?
I know, an easy brush, floss, rinse tooth-brushing station that would help him independently move through the tooth-brushing routine with ease.
I created it by using this rustic shelf/picture frame that Mom had in her yard sale pile. When I lived in my barn it would have fit in perfectly, but not so much in the boys modern bathroom.
Sometimes you just have to use a little paint to make things new again, like we did with our rustic globe turned modern. Instead of using photos in the frame, I used words to provide the steps for tooth-brushing .
Using the backs of each frame as my canvas, I simply placed ArtSkills Vinyl Letter
Isn’t our brush, floss, rinse tooth-brushing station adorable? Usually we have a washcloth hanging from the hook as well.
Jude is more excited than ever to use his easily accessible tooth-brushing tools! And he loves to follow the steps now. He feels such a huge sense of accomplishment in his new found independence!
Time to brush. He can reach the tooth paste and toothbrush all by himself.
Jude loves squeezing the toothpaste out on his brush and it’s great for strengthening those fine motor muscles.
After he brushes he gets in between each tooth with a flosser. Look at how independent he is… it wasn’t always like this.
Then he swishes and rinses! It’s so much easier now!
