We have several pets in our family. 3 to be exact. Two cats and one dog. The dog was a gift to Gavin and he has taken on 95% of the responsibility.
He’s done an amazing job taking care of Cooper, but we had one problem. Cooper’s stuff was everywhere and it was getting in the way.
We needed a solution to consolidate everything. That’s when I decided we needed a pet organization station. Mom has already got her pet’s organized … see what I mean in this post about her cat center and more here on her latest update to her creative cat center.
Here’s how the set up was:
Cooper ate over on the opposite side of the door. Near the paper work sorter. His food was kept about 7 feet away in the pantry. Two issues there.
His treats, leashes, and other stuff was all crammed in to this old potato cabinet.
However, most of the time the leash never made it back in there. In fact come to think of it there is still a really nice leash missing in my house.
I guarantee the couch ate it!
I’m way to scared to stick my hand down there… yuck I shiver to think of the unknown nasties.
But all is right with the world now. We have one leash and one spot for that leash. The dog hook now holds the dog’s leash.
When I saw this ceramic dog hook the only problem I had was choosing between the dog, deer, or cow. They were all so cute and at %50 off, it was a steal at Hobby Lobby!
On top of the cabinet we have Cooper’s treats for easy access and a bowl of outside summer essentials. It’s so much easier to have the bug spray and sunscreen right by the back door.
Inside the cabinet are more leashes and training aids including potty essentials. Like poop pick up bags. Gavin is responsible for walking Cooper once a day around the neighborhood. He’s also responsible for the poop pick-up.
The top section holds puppy meds and extra treats. I used the bright flower contact paper I found at Walmart to bring some color to this cabinet.
I also re-covered the doggy’s placemat and made it a custom size to fit the small space.
Aww there he is again. Isn’t this hook just adorable? It’s my favorite thing about the whole pet organization station. I added a little zip cord to the leash to make it easier to hang.
Cooper’s seems pretty happy with his new pet station! What do you guys think? How do you organize your pets things?
