You may think I am crazy… well I’ve been called worse… but I just really was never wearing this bubble necklace. I tried to get in to it but it was just a bit too large for my taste.
Now before you freak out about the fact that I took this necklace a part and glued the pieces to pumpkins… let me say it was an extremely cheap necklace. I think I spent $2.00 on it. I loved the blueish purple and gold. You know how I’m digging gold lately.
I frequently look in my closet for materials to use for my DIY’s. Remember the time I ripped off all the buttons of my coral sweater to add to a lamp shade. Often times your clothes and accessories are under used or out of style but elements of them can be utilized in your decor.
To start this project, using needle nosed pliers bend the connectors of a necklace and pull pieces apart from each other.
The next part is something only you can decide. Start placing pieces of the necklace on the pumpkin and once you think they look good use some hot glue and secure them to the pumpkin.
Simple project and the result is super cute and different . Come back Monday to see where these bad boys are going. Have a great weekend!

Thanks so much Kelly. Creativity is something all of us have. Letting go and taking risks is the one thing that has always helped me get more creative. Lesley

Super cute! I have made Christmas ornaments from unwanted jewelry before. Years ago I had vintage crystal brooches on my drapery tiebacks. When my daughters would visit the brooches would end up on their hats.

That’s a great idea! I think I’m going to start collecting more jewelry pieces just in time for Christmas crafting!
