Not all DIY projects have to be time consuming, cost money or be complicated.
Take this lamp for example, it use to have a cream base, I painted it in about 2 minutes with some leftover grey paint. I liked it but felt that it was missing something.
Looking through my closet I found this Coral sweater from The Gap that coordinated perfectly with my new sheets and accents in our guest bedroom.
Instead of donating the sweater that no longer fit, I decided to recycle it instead.
I simply remove the buttons and adhere them using hot glue to adorn the lampshade.
Don’t forget to look outside the craft store and in your closet. Sometimes things you no longer wear have great texture, quality fabric, or interesting embellishments that you can re-use in your decor.
I added one finishing touch for a little extra bling. The vintage brooch was just the perfect addition, don’t you think?
Now, what project can I make out of the rest of the coral sweater??? Any suggestions?
