Blogging as a business can be quite overwhelming. For over 5 years I’ve tried many different products and resources to help make my business more efficient and run more smoothly. This list of resources are things that I have tried, used and highly recommend. Hopefully, this list of blogging and business resources will be just as useful for you as they have been for me.
Disclosure: This post includes affiliate links. I earn a commission for any items you purchase through my links. And as always I only recommend products I have used and love.
Blogging MUST HAVE Guides and Courses
Listed below are my top 5 resources that are literally all you need to get started blogging and making money!
-What the Tech? A Guide to Your Blogging Frustrations: If you are looking to start a blog, conquer your fear of blogging technology or you want to take the maintenance and design of your blog into your own hands then this is for you. With my book and videos, my goal is for you to stop shoveling money at your tech issues and learn how to fix them on your own. There is an ebook only option and packages that also include up to 26 videos and a private Facebook group. I’ve been told that the Facebook Group is one of the most helpful ones out there!
-Building A Framework: Once you build your blog, have your design up and are familiar with the tech stuff it’s time to grow! My dear friend Abby has the perfect resources for growing your blog. She tells her story of how she went from a hobby blogger to full-time online entrepreneur and she shares her secrets on how you can do it too!
-Affiliate Marketing For Bloggers: Now you have started your blog and learned how to get some traffic. Now let’s start making some money. Affiliate Marketing is an excellent way to earn a really good living. In fact, my friend Tasha quit her job as a lawyer to blog full-time. She completely replaced her income through Affiliate Marketing. So what is affiliate marketing? It’s basically commissioned sales. You apply to programs, are given special links and then you use those links to refer people to a product or service. Tasha is so successful at affiliate marketing that she developed the course Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers. It’s helped me raise my affiliate income almost 7000% percent. Yes, you read that right!
-The Knowtbook: No it’s not a romance novel but an amazing resource by Amy Lynn Andrews. The cool thing about this resource is that it’s not a course and it’s not an ebook but a journal that is frequently updated by Amy. Every time she updates it, you get a notification. As much as things change in the blogging world it’s nice to have something that is always up to date.
–The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Lightroom: Blogging is an extremely visual media and your blog success depends on high-quality content to draw readers to your site. If content is King, your photos are the Queen of your posts. And even though this course is aimed at bloggers, online content creators of ALL types can benefit from having excellent photography on their websites.
–List Building Academy: The one thing I have learned more than anything in the past 5 years is that social media is constantly changing but the power of email is NOT! My good friend Laura has tried and true strategies for growing your email list and a lot of them are completely free! Don’t do what I did and wait to grow your list! Learn the best strategies quickly and apply them now with this course.
